From Provide and Install to Design/Build

Roots go back to being sales person and marketer for a leading pest and bird control company in the biggest market in the world, New York City!

Bird Control Advisory is based on spending years scouting out job sites and learning the nature of and solutions to bird infestations in urban environments around the country .

The blend of a patented / proprietary product being installed as a turnkey solution became the basis of Heath’s link to the architectural community. Heath began to integrate bird control services with the realm of architecture in 2005 by participating in CSI’s Product Representative Academy. He became a continuing education provider for AIA on the subject of bird control from 2006 – 2011 and 2013-present with programs spanning Historic Restorations, Transportation Facilities, Stadiums & Public Places, Specifying the Right Bird Control, and more.

He has worked with architects and facilities managers of major stadiums, transportation facilities, power companies, governmental entities, and private commercial and residential properties around the country to solve their toughest pest bird problems by writing specifications, providing shop drawing details of proper installation techniques, and implementing the established ideas as a construction service.

A sample of Architecture / Engineering Firms Heath has worked with:
Gensler (Denver), STV, Inc. (New York), URS (New York & Wayne, NJ), DMJM (New York), Parsons Brinkerhoff (Newark, NJ), Skidmore Owings (New York, Washington DC, Chicago, & San Francisco), Perkins & Will (New York, Dallas, & Atlanta), and HOK (New York & Kansas City).

Heath is the inventor of a patented electrified bird deterrent system component. He writes articles for industry and trade publications, gives speeches to the pest control industry on successful bird control, has been featured in the New York Times, on NY1 television, and put together a segment of the TV show Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe on the Discovery Channel about Bird Droppings Remediation and Preventative Bird Deterrent Systems.
